This Sakura Cross Stitch Pattern is my second free flower pattern where the first is Sun Flower cross stitch pattern. Sakura is the Japanese national flower that blooms in spring, which is around the beginning of April until the end of April. For Japan, the sakura are important symbols, which often is associated with women, life, death, and also a symbol to express human relationship, courage, sadness, and happiness. Sakura is also a metaphor for characteristics that are not eternal life. The result of the flower cross stitch pattern has dimension 2.78” x 2.67” (50 x 48 Stitches). The color used are 4 color including background color with DMC floss. This pattern also uses backstitch where it forms flower’s pistil.
